Improvements to the Parking Permit Program
Manitoba Possible is committed to providing the best possible, client-centered services. We recognize that the Parking Permit Program has not fully met the community's needs and are committed to making improvements.
The Parking Permit Program has faced several pressures that have had an impact on our services. A significant increase in demand, upgrades to our software, and the postal strike have resulted in longer processing times and an increase in calls to our program, making it difficult for clients to reach us by phone.
We understand the impact this has had. We are actively working on several solutions and strategies to improve our processing times and our ability to answer your calls and questions promptly. We are committed to making your experience seamless and efficient.
Effective immediately, we have increased staff and volunteer support to catch up with the backlog in applications, renewals and phone calls. We are also extending our counter service hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. We are working to improve the electronic invoice received by our clients to reduce confusion.
To help us serve you better, there are a few steps you can take to streamline the application or renewal process:
Ask your healthcare provider to apply online - We encourage anyone needing a permit to inform their healthcare provider (physician, nurse practitioner, chiropractor, occupational therapist, or physiotherapist) that they can apply online through the link at the top left of our parking permit page and submit the application immediately.
Consent to email communication - Renewals can now be done via email. When Parking Permit staff ask for your email, please provide it to take advantage of our secure online process, allowing for electronic payments and faster renewal stickers.
Stay up to date through our website - ManitobaPossible.Ca/Parking-Permits has answers to the most frequently asked questions.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to improve our service and address delays.
